As we revisit some of the most significant events from the last 25 years, we stop at 1991 when history was created as India began to open up its economy to foreign markets and foreign investors for the first time. By 1992, the waves of change were sweeping across not just India but even countries like China & Vietnam. But ironically as these countries were busy riding the free market wave, the old capitalist countries of the west were battling recession.
