Emphasis Should Be On Imparting Skills, Not Just Giving Aid: Manika Batra
Manika Batra, Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, Table Tennis, at the #SwadesBuildingLivelihoods telethon said that while we take care of our own health, we must also preserve our sensitivity towards the underprivileged sections of our society. There is an opportunity in every calamity, Ms Batra said adding that the government and private companies should seize this opportunity and create employment, generating infrastructure in small and medium towns. Emphasis should be on imparting skills and knowledge and not just giving aid, she added.
