Fodder scam: Lalu to be sentenced today via videoconference

The quantum of sentence to be served by Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad, convicted on Monday in a fodder scam case, would be announced today through video-conferencing in a special CBI court in Ranchi. The political heavyweight from Bihar faces between four and seven years in prison, thus disqualifying him from his Lok Sabha membership and barring him from contesting elections for six years, according to a recent Supreme Court order.
