Over a month after a humiliating loss in Amethi in the national election at the hands of the BJP's Smriti Irani, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was back in the Uttar Pradesh district for a few hours on Wednesday. This was Mr Gandhi's first visit to Amethi, previously a Gandhi family bastion, after the election results. In UP, the Congress faces multiple challenges, including reviving a defunct grass roots organisation and rebuilding the party base.
