The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a PIL that wants to stop the Centre and state governments from advertising their self-professed achievements using taxpayers' money. It has been filed by an NGO that has, among others, former Chief Justice MN Venkatachaliah and E Sreedharan on its advisory board.
