Historic Moment As PM Modi Welcomes African Union At G20 Under India's Presidency
The African Union formally took its seat as a new member of the G20 today at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "With everyone's approval, I request the AU head to take his seat as a permanent G20 member," PM Modi said in an opening address to the summit, with the African bloc's head then taking a seat alongside world leaders.
