Clinical Nutritionist Lovneet Batra says that one need not be on a high protein diet while recovering from Covid and about 70 grams of protein would be enough. The vegetarians need three servings of dal, chana or rajma per day and about 200 grams of Yogurt, she said adding that the non-vegetarians need a meal like grilled chicken or fish or chicken tikka to consume 30-40 gas protein in a single meal. She emphasised that rather than overthinking about protein post covid, one should focus on having a balanced diet that includes healthy fats and carbohydrates also.
