Indo-US relations in science are robust: Subra Suresh

Subra Suresh (56), born in Mumbai and an alumnus of the IIT Madras, now heads the world's richest basic science funding agency the National Science Foundation - an arm of the US government with a funding of over $ 7 billion annually. He is the first person of Indian origin to head this prestigious body. In an exclusive interview to NDTV's Science Editor Pallava Bagla, carried out on the sidelines of the Euro Science Open Forum (ESOF) meeting in Dublin where over 4000 scientists are participating, he said Indo-US relations in science are getting more robust especially after the new initiatives taken by President barrack Obama and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
