DK Shivakumar of the Congress was a minister until last week. Now after the defeat in a trust vote of the coalition government in Karnataka, he is in the opposition - with a BJP government headed by BS Yediyurappa in charge. Mr Shivakumar says the Governor should not have called the BJP to form the government as, before the mass disqualification of the MLAs, that party did not have a simple majority. He also asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not yet congratulated Mr Yediyurappa for taking charge, and told NDTV's Maya Sharma at the Vidhana Soudha, that BS Yediyurappa would have a difficult time going ahead.
