Kerala: Heavy Rain Lashes Several Areas Of Kozhikode
Kozhikode receives a fresh spell of rain on July 16, resulting in waterlogging in several areas of the city. The heavy downpour continued throughout the day and is anticipated to persist for the rest of the week. The district, initially under a red alert on July 16, has now been placed under an orange alert for July 17 and 18 and a yellow alert for July 19 and 20. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted extremely heavy but intermittent rainfall, estimating 204.4 mm of rain on July 16.
