Living On Bed Of Fire For 50 Years - NDTV Ground Report From Jharia

For the last 50 years, there has been an underground fire in the coal mines of Jharia in Jharkhand, which has engulfed the entire region, affecting hundreds of villages, thousands of households and lakhs of people. It is not only causing large-scale devastation but also affecting the population with severe lung disease and even cancer. NDTV team visited the ground zero to understand more about the horrific living conditions of the people who live above the bed of fire and how the majority of them have become carriers of diseases and few have even lost their family members.
