Low-key Ganesh Chaturthi this year due to Covid-19
Ganesh Chaturthi festivities began this morning with devotees offering aarti (the lighting of traditional lamp and camphor) in temples across the country. This year, the festivities have been downsized due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Many Ganesh idol-makers are also resorting to Eco-friendly Ganesha idols this year as they seem to be high in demand.
