The much-anticipated odd-even formula saw its official launch on Friday with even numbered cars staying off the roads. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called the scheme a success and said that thanked Delhi for overwhelming response. Over 10,000 volunteers were deployed at 200 locations giving away roses to the violators. Many schoolchildren were also seen holding placards and requesting commuters to follow the rules. Though 'Day 1' may have gone smoothly with only 200 people fined for violations, many feel the real test will be on Monday when all schools and offices open after a long weekend.
