Continuous rain on Wednesday has helped contain the spread of a week-long wildfire in the city of Ofunato, Japan's Iwate Prefecture. However, the roads to the mountains remain closed. As of Wednesday, over 4,500 people from more than 1,800 households in Ofunato City have been evacuated.
