Despite long queues at banks on Thursday, there were many for whom there was a sense of excitement as they exchanged old for new. But for others, even standing in this queue was out of reach. In Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, migrant daily wage labourers haven't received their wages since the announcement. They have no identity proof or bank accounts, some borrowed to get their food. Yet they said they support the prime minister and his bid to stop black money.
