Sanjay Dutt can't contest polls says Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that the actor-politician cannot contest in the coming Lok Sabha elelctions. He is the Samajwadi Party candidate from Lucknow. Sanjay Dutt had been convicted under the Arms Act 6 years jail term. Currently, he is on bail granted by the Supreme Court. Dutt had filed a petition in the Supreme Court to suspend his conviction so that he can contest Lok Sabha polls.
