As allegations and counter-allegations fly between Zee media network and Naveen Jindal, the spotlight is firmly back on media ethics and practices. From paid news, to fakes stings to now perhaps one of the gravest charges yet, extortion, is the media at a new crossroads? And is it time to at least consider whether an independent media regulator is the order of the day?
