Seven bodies were pulled out of the rubble a day after a six-storey building collapsed in Surat amid incessant rains, officials said on Sunday. The 30-apartment residential building was built illegally in Sachin Pali village and was mostly vacant. Only five flats were occupied and residents paid Rs. 1,200 a month for rent.
