UK bar brawls: Hurled glasses are the problem
Every year in Britain, there are tens of thousands of alcohol-related glass attacks and the resulting injuries cost the health service billions. Plastic glasses and bottles could be the answer, and campaigners are trying to push reluctant bars and nightclubs to use them.
