Welcome Interest From Pfizer For Emergency Use In India: Dr VK Paul
Dr VK Paul, member of the government's think-tank NITI Aayog spoke exclusively to NDTV on Pfizer applying emergency use authorisation for its COVID-19 vaccine. Dr Paul said Pfizer's request is "timely". The vaccine is ready to be rolled out in the United Kingdom and Bahrain. This is the first such request received by the Drugs Controller General of India amid the race to find a vaccine for the deadly virus, which has affected over 96 lakh people in India.
