As Indians across the world celebrate Diwali, one Indian-American family in the US is not as lucky. 32-year-old Amit Gupta is suffering from acute leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant urgently. His south Asian descent makes that hard. Of the 9 million names in the National bone marrow registry in the US, only 160 thousand are South Asian.
