Will Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati face a trial in the Taj corridor case? An answer to that is likely to emerge from the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today. The court will deliver its judgement on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that has challenged the refusal of the Uttar Pradesh Governor to prosecute Ms Mayawati and her close aide Naseemuddin Siddiqui. With that decision by the UP Governor, the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) investigation in the Rs. 17 crore scam came to a halt in June 2007.
