Saffron growers in Pulwama's Pampore region, known as the largest saffron-producing area in South Asia and second in the world after Iran, are anticipating some financial relief in the upcoming budget amidst challenges impacting production.
Farmers say that they are facing multiple challenges, like rising temperatures, erratic weather, rodent attacks and the import of saffron from Iran.
