In the Thar desert, the golden sands stretch for miles and miles where the eye can see. The desert landscape has its own magnificence, its own beauty. But away from this poetic imagery, there is a harsh reality - reality of having to brave the elements, to patrol this fierce terrain or even to defend this frontier, if necessary. This area in Rajasthan is watched over by troops stationed in Bikaner, and to bring a smile on their faces, Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor spends a day with them.
