Sanskrit Sans Bigotry
A student enforced lockout at a specialised Sanskrit faculty of the Banaras Hindu University has been continuing for nearly two weeks, with the controversy over the appointment of Firoze Khan as an assistant professor refusing to die down. However, Professor Khan has found support both from within the university, and outside. Ironically, not only Professor Khan, but his father and other members of his family are well versed in Sanskrit too.
