NDTV & Coca-Cola celebrated the success of the Support My School campaign which was launched in 2011 to improve the poor condition of schools in India. The campaign so far has benefitted over 3.5 lakh school children in more than
1000 schools across the country. During this journey, thousands of toilets, urinals and wash stations were revitalised and hundreds of playgrounds were established in disadvantaged schools. Support My School addressed the WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) needs and contributed meaningfully to the government's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and the revitalised schools now serve as model schools in several districts. The campaign will now continue in the form of Support My School Mission Recycling, which aims to sensitise children from over 5000 schools on recycling and waste management in partnership with American India Foundation (AIF).
