A Glimpse Of The 'Cham' Dance At The Ladakh Festival
The Ladakh Festival celebrates the ancient traditions preserved by the locals. One of those traditions is the 'Cham' dance, a spiritual dance performed by a select number of monks after days of meditation. Performed in colourful costumes, the purpose of the dance is to banish evil spirits and to purify one's mind.
