According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), malnutrition is considered as the number one risk to health worldwide. It is a huge health concern in India as well. Thus, the government of India has recently announced a target of making the country malnutrition free by 2020. To enhance the efforts in this direction, the government of India is conducting a month-long campaign called Rashtriya Poshan Maah or the National Nutrition Month from September 1 to September 30. NDTV interviewed Nutritionist Dr. Charu Dua on what is a balanced diet and what are the ways in which India can achieve the target of becoming malnutrition free by 2022.
