The Indian women's hockey team was accorded a grand welcome by fans on landing in the capital on Sunday night. Fans, gathered at the airport, celebrated the team's arrival with flowers, garlands and drums. The Indian women's team lifted its maiden Asian Champions Trophy after beating China 2-1 on Saturday in Malaysia. Deepika Thakur struck in the final of the match to hand India a historic win.
