Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Colombo for a three-day state visit to Sri Lanka. He was welcomed at the airport by key ministers of the Sri Lankan government.
During his visit, PM Modi will hold high-level talks with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, review bilateral projects, and inaugurate new initiatives backed by Indian assistance. Agreements are also expected in key areas like defence, technology, and energy. India and Sri Lanka share deep historical and cultural ties, making Sri Lanka an integral part of India's Neighbourhood First policy.
