Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on his first state visit to the US, arrived at the White House today to a grand welcome. He thanked Biden for the warm welcome and said, "The grand welcome at the White House is an honour and pride for the 140 crore Indians. This is also an honour for the Indian community in the US". During his address, the Prime Minister also recalled the first time he saw the White House during his visit to the United States 30 years ago. "Nearly three decades ago, I visited America as a common man. I saw the White House from the outside back then," he said.
