Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched the movie The Sabarmati Report today, which is based on the Godhra train tragedy. The film's storyline revolves around the burning of coach No. S6 of the Sabarmati Express near Godhra train station in Gujarat and the subsequent riots. Top BJP leaders were also in attendance, showing their support for the film. PM Modi had earlier backed the film, stating that "fake narrative can persist only for a limited time" and that it's "good that the truth is coming out". Actor Vikrant Massey, who recenttly announced his retirement from films, was also present at the screening as was Jitendra, who's daughter Ekta Kapoor was the producer of the film.
