"Was Observing Fast During 2014 Visit, Now I am Making Up For It": PM At State Dinner
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the State Dinner hosted in his honour by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at the North Lawn of the White House, recalled his 2014 visit to the country. At the time the PM said he was on a Navratri fast and had only water, tea and nimbu pani or lemonade despite hectic schedule there. PM Modi said Joe Biden, who was Vice President at the time, was concerned about the former's health. "Today, I am making up for it. All that you have designed at that time with so much affection, I am fulfilling for it," PM said.
