Today was Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second day of his ninth visit to Karnataka ahead of the state assembly elections and he addressed crowds in Kolar, Belur, Channapatna and Mysuru. Training guns on the Congress over its party president Mallikarjun Kharge's 'venomous snake' barb at him, PM Modi said that the snake was the charm of lord Shiva's neck, and for him, the people of the country were a "form of god", and he was fine with being compared to the snake on their necks. Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lashed out at the BJP and alleged that the party is attempting to "divert people from main issues".
