Union home minister Amit Shah said it was unfortunate that India since independence never had an 'Indian economy' and was always copying western models. PM Modi was the first to make the economy 'Indian' for all; be it farmers, rural, or urban population. Speaking with NDTV's editor-in-chief Sanjay Pugalia, he said we are now at a stage where we have removed the western influence while maintaining good foreign relations as well as securing international borders.
