Addressing a public rally in Jalandhar on May 24, PM Modi hit out at the Congress for opposing the CAA Act. He also slammed the AAP party for being wholesalers of alcohol. "The Hindu-Sikh brothers who were left on the other side during the partition, they are our own. BJP-NDA government brought CAA to give them citizenship. But Congress had a problem with it. They are saying that they will withdraw the CAA if they come to power... Punjab is a border state. We cannot let it go in danger again... The people of Punjab have understood that the people of 'Jhaadu' party are wholesalers of alcohol... 'Jhaadu' party has learned the lesson of emergency from Congress... Both of them are abusing each other here and in Delhi, they are hugging each other," he said.
