Prime Minister Modi was in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh today where in addition to flagging off a new Vande Bharat train he also attended a ceremony of the Gita Press centenary celebrations. He said the publisher was guiding humanity through its work and that it was not less than any temple. The visit comes days after the Congress attacked the Centre for conferring the Gandhi Peace Prize on the Gita Press, which claims to be the largest publishing house of Hindu religious literature.
