On the award-winning show NDTV Dialogues, Nobel Laureate and Bharat Ratna Professor Amartya Sen was asked about whether his views have changed on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Professor Sen told NDTV that he had " made several statements on different parties, some of them proved wrong, some of them proved right." Before the national election, Professor Sen had said he would not be happy to see Mr Modi as PM. Six months later, he said while he is "delighted" to see Mr Modi address issues like malnutrition and sanitation in his Red Fort speech, the issue of the PM's credentials on secularism remain crucial to him.
