MPs, legislators and former elected representatives of the opposition BJP staged a protest in Bengaluru demanding the Chief Minister's resignation. BJP State Unit president B Y Vijayendra, Leader of Opposition in Assembly, R Ashok, and Leader of Opposition in Council Chalavadi Narayanaswami, were among those who took part in the protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the premises of Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru. The protesters were taken into custody by the police. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister who has batted away the demands for his resignation, asserting that he will fight the case and win, has also accused the BJP and Janata Dal (Secular) of a conspiracy to weaken the Congress government. Today, he said he is ready for a probe, but will not quit. How will the Congress handle this dilemma?
