Politically unviable to deregulate diesel: Reddy
The new Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister S Jaipal Reddy has ruled out the deregulation of diesel prices, saying such a move was not politically and practically feasible at present. Reddy said that his ministry has sought an immediate release of Rs 10,000 crore in interim compensation to state oil companies.
