First the police's theory that Manoj Gupta's death was the result of a departmental dispute was not taken seriously. And now, Gupta's predecessor has made things even more uncomfortable for Mayawati. "All MLAs want that every tender should be awarded to their men. They normally take 5 to 10 per cent of the total amount. And even after this they demand more donations," said C D Rai, the deceased engineer's predecessor.
