Poll fever missing in J&K

It's just a week to go before the crucial elections in Jammu and Kashmir but the usual poll fever is missing. Separatists in the Valley have called for a poll boycott. There are no slogans, no rallies and not a single party flag. People are angry over the way the parties handled the Amarnath land row and the violence that followed. Political parties are avoiding large meetings fearing public anger.
