Pollachi Sex Abuse: CBI Files 2 Cases Against 8 Men | Read

Over a month after investigation into the alleged sex abuse over 60 women in Tamil Nadu's Pollachi were transferred to the CBI, the agency filed two First Information Reports (FIRs) on Friday against eight accused. The Tamil Nadu government had handed over the case to the central probe agency on March 13, after opposition parties in the state had asked for a court-monitored probe, alleging that the accused are linked to the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu and that the party was trying to shield them and cover up the case.
