Pollution, Winter Behind Delhi's Rising Covid Deaths: AIIMS Director
AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria in a conversation with NDTV talks about the reason behind Delhi's spike in deaths due to COVID-19. He said more patients with comorbidities being admitted in hospitals and combination of air pollution, cold air and COVID-19 are causing severe infection in patients with underlying diseases. Dr Guleria said since there is no evidence that the coronavirus has mutated, a death audit is needed to understand factors contributing to the rise in deaths.
