Power cos allotted 15 coal blocks
India's fuel starved power sector can breathe a sigh of relief, that is because the coal ministry has allocated 15 coal blocks to independent power companies in the private sector.The coal ministry has allocated thermal coal blocks to 22 independent power project companies including Reliance Energy, GVK, GMR, Sterlite, Tata Metaliks, Monnet Ispat and Jindal Photo.
