Power producers, consumers to bear the brunt: Fitch
Salil Garg, director of corporates at India Ratings, speaks to NDTV Profit about the impact of the government's decision to hike gas prices to $8.4 mmbtu. He says that the main concern is from the point of power consumers and the power sector, because ultimately they will have to bear the brunt of the price rise. Mr Garg elucidates how power generation and fertiliser costs are likely to go up from April 2014.
