Power-strapped Karnataka facing a dark winter
Forty-year old Krishnappa is trying to work against all odds. Load shedding in Jadagenahalli, just 50 kms from Bangalore has been 12 hours daily over the last week. For Krishnapaa that means no water for his land. He grows tomatoes and flowers, both these crops need water regularly with constant power cuts he is not able to use his pump set and is, therefore, left with little or no water for his crops.
