Pranab for devolution of power in Lanka
India has called for the urgent need for credible devolution of powers in Sri Lanka, saying it is the only way forward to ensure resolution of problems afflicting the island nation. External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who received a telephonic call from Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon, told him that India remains concerned over the condition of civilian population in northern Sri Lanka.
