Pranab told me Centre has decided to put FDI on hold: Mamata
With the government embroiled in a war with the Opposition and some of its main allies over Foreign Direct Investment or FDI in retail, West Bengal Chief Minister and key ally to the UPA government, Mamata Banerjee, today said Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has conveyed to her, over the phone, that the FDI policy is on hold till there is a consensus on the issue.
