Priceless 2000-year-old lion broken at Kolkata museum
In Kolkata, a priceless statue of a lion, over 2000 years old, has been broken while it was being relocated in the Indian Museum. The sculpture that has been severely damaged is of the Rampurva Lion Capital, built in the time of Ashoka the Great, and acknowledged as a rare specimen of Mauryan culture. (Read more)
